The small tesla coil features a 2 3/8" diameter secondary with 1000
turns of 30 gauge magnet wire and a machined aluminum combination baby
toroid/needle point top terminal. The primary is 11 turns of 1/4" copper
tubing wound in a 45 degree cone. It has a capacitor bank of 16 Ceramite
laser pulse caps (2 series X 8 parallel), and a double copper adjustable
spark gap. The primary is mounted on the base of the secondary and slides
to adjust the coupling. The unit stands 17 1/2" tall from base to the tip
of the secondary terminal. It's all powered by a Actown 4KV, 30ma neon
sign transf., 120V, 120VA input, with three prong cord and pull string
on/off switch.
